Graduation 2014
The sixth graduation ceremony of the LL.M. Program in International Legal Studies was staged together with graduates of the LL.M EU and International Business as well as of the MA Human Rightsuate at the Great Ceremony Hall of the University of Vienna on 25th September 2014. After an entertaining Farewell Dinner at the Glacis Beisl where graduates welcomed newly incoming students the night before, 19 students from 19 countries were conferred the LL.M. degree.
The graduates came from the following countries: Afghanistan, Argentina, Austria, Belarus, China, Croatia, Faroer Islands, Finland, Georgia, Greece, India, Iran, Kosovo, Nigeria, Slovak Republic, Spain, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.
This year’s distinction of “ best student of the year” included two graduates: Tra Nguyen from Vietnam and Christoph Greil from Austria who excelled in nearly all the subjects with A grades.
- Tra Thi Thanh Nguyen‘s thesis was supervised by Prof. Karl Zemanek and entitled: "Towards a Unified Approach of Interpreting „Necessity“: Lessons from the Jurisprudence of International Investment Law and WTO Law".
- Christoph Greil’s thesis was supervised by Prof. Christoph Schreuer and entitled: "Sustainable Development in International Investment Law“.
